Investment Overview

The Small-Cap Equity Strategy seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation through investment in a diversified portfolio of U.S. small cap equity securities. The strategy utilizes a proprietary selection process to identify companies with higher earnings per share growth potential and attractive valuations. Stocks in the portfolio have a minimum market cap size of $400 million and generally are within the capitalization range of the Russell 2000 index at the time of purchase.

Proprietary Selection Process

Our equity investment discipline utilizes both quantitative and fundamental analysis. Our proprietary multi-factor quantitative screening process seeks to identify attractively valued investment candidates while removing human behavioral bias. We then conduct a rigorous bottom-up fundamental research process to validate the quality of the financial results (sales, earnings, cash flows, etc.) of these businesses and their relative valuations. Using this disciplined approach, we can identify/invest in businesses that are typically in the early stages of their earnings cycle and whose improvements may not be appropriately reflected in investor expectations and valuations.
